What's is the best Valentine's day gift for your girl friend
My male friends always ask me several question as below before the Valentine's day:
- Which gift should I give to my girl friend?
- Do you think perfume is good idea?
- Which cosmetic brand do you think she will like?
- Any thing special but not expensive?
- I'm going to propose, do you think it's good?
- Do you think this watch/wallet is too much for him?
.......
Here is my conclusion for all the male friends, hope can help you figure out the best present for your girl/boy friend.
- Cosmetics, perfume and make up stuff is not bad idea, but everyone has their custom brand and favourite flavour, please make sure you check their make up table before you go, take some pictures bring to the store ask opinion. Small tip, if she use lotion/cream from this brand, buy a serum or eye cream is never wrong.
- Perfume, be honest, it's not really creative idea. If you insist, please choose her common brand, in case just waste your money.
-Small leather goods, of course if you have big budget, a hand bag will be cheer her up. I always think wallet is good idea, in china we always say use the wallet from other people will always bring big money.
- Jewelry is the love of every women, no matter the age and the style. Just one thing, if you see she only wear gold colour, please don't buy silver or white gold, for the silver girl, it will be the same.
- Any thing special but not expensive? Local flower store,hand made chocolate, a small hand craft necklace, a vintage brooch.It will be always exciting, tell her there are stories behind this gift, you have to support small business.
-Propose, this is a big thing, be honest, women love surprise, propose on Valentine's day or birthday is never surprise, choose a regular weekend and take her to a country side walk, or take her to a beautiful swimming bath, propose in a romantic location is the winning point.

Alexander Wang Autumn/Winter 2013 New York Fashion Week
I have to say, I'm not the big fan of that heavey hair style gloves,it look like they grow a hairy arm or hand, and also I don't like that feeling of wearing half socks. But the whole range of colors make people feel excited, and the final point is that a few pieces of coat makes me want to run to grab one!

Antique Jade Jewelry
Another Chinese New Year is coming, again I won't be at home celebrate with my families. I touching my jade pendent that my mom gave to me when I decided go study in UK, she said, it's for keep you safe and bring you luck.
I always thought that only the Chinese have jade, only the Chinese people know how to carve this extreme hard stone, and creating all kinds of beautiful carvings, but when I saw the antique jade jewelry in antique stores in UK. I was surprised, it's not because how great the jade got caved, but every piece of jewelry mix of different materials with jade. the mix and match style has long history? ;) Has to share some beautiful pieces with everyone.
